Our ROV-SEM (School-Wide Enrichment) culminated on Friday with an excursion to the diving well at Seaside High School. All worked good enough, with a lot of fine-tuning still required before our first saltwater launch at Fishermen's Wharf in Monterey.

Many thanks to my ISM colleague and collaborator, Mary Welsh, for helping guide twenty middle schoolers through the ROV-design process. It's good to hear that several students intend to go on to construct their own ROVs as a subject for the upcoming science and engineering fair.

Stay tuned for media of our first saltwater dive in the next two weeks!
